Family Photography in East County, San Diego

It was so much fun to photograph this gorgeous mom and her four boys in East County, San Diego!

We met up at the picturesque Sweetwater Bridge, located in the Rancho San Diego / Spring Valley area. This is a beautiful setting year-round, but I especially like it during the fall season. It’s one of the few areas around San Diego that has a true “changing of the seasons” feel to it.

A cool bit of trivia: Sweetwater Bridge is a Parker Truss-style bridge that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It’s the entrance to the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge – Sweetwater River Trail.

I like to start my family sessions on the bridge, and then head out to the trails and wildlife refuge area to explore. The variety of easily accessible spots along the trail will keep kids of all ages interested and engaged, plus give families a variety of scenic settings for their gallery.

Because Sweetwater Bridge is quite a popular spot for photographs, I prefer to shoot sessions here on weekday evenings.

If you’re looking for a family photographer in East County San Diego, I’d love to work with you!
